New Delhi, Apr 6: In a sudden weather change, Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR) witnessed dust storm and pre-monsoon rains on Friday evening. Several areas in the national capital were hit by a dust storm and showers. The weather in part of Delhi and NCR was cloudy.

Thundershowers were witnessed in Delhi and NCR that may bring some respite to the citizens reeling under hot and humid weather conditions for the past several days. On Friday, the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded 33-degree Celsius and 22 degree Celsius respectively.

Pre-Monsoon rains may continue till April 10, predicted private weather forecast agency Skymet. The intensity of rains is likely to pick up the pace by April 9, it added. “In wake of these rains, both the day and night temperatures would fall and start settling around near normal. Afternoons would be slightly warm, but nights would be cool and comfortable in coming days,” it reported.
