New Delhi, April 9: Rain lashed parts of Delhi on Monday morning bringing much needed respite to the residents of the national capital. The Delhi Cantonment area and parts of Moti Bagh received light showers this morning. Delhi, which recorded a minimum temperature of 24 degree Celsius and a maximum temperature of 33 degree Celsius is also likely to witness thunderstorm along with rains later in the day today, according to weathermen.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Delhi is likely to witness more thunderstorms and rain in the coming days. The maximum and minimum temperatures for the next two days are likely to remain the same as it is today.

The weather will return to normal after a couple of days with partly cloudly or mainly clear sky. The light rains have brought temperatures down in the national capital. No traffic snarls were reported because of the sudden change in weather.

Delhiites took to social media to share photos and videos of the pleasant weather this morning. Other parts of North India including Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab are also likely to witness rains and winds in the next three days.
