New Delhi, Jan 30: There was high drama at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence as Bharatiya Janata Party leaders came to meet him on Tuesday morning to discuss sealing drive. BJP Delhi unit chief and MP Manoj Tiwari accused the Aam Aadmi Party MLAs of insulting him. He said that while he had called for a meeting with Kejriwal on the issue, the CM chose to call the media and AAP MLAs before hand and make a ‘tamasha’ out of it.

“We had sought time for a meeting with the Chief Minister. But here we have media before us. This is not how issues are solved. They have created a drama out of it,” Tiwari said.

The BJP leaders then took to carrying out a dharna outside Kejriwal’s house saying that they had come to find a solution to the sealing issue, but the Chief Minister had made arrangements for a drama. The BJP leaders left Kejriwal’s residence without speaking to him on the issue.

BJP leader Vijendra Gupta also alleged that he was pushed and shoved outside Arvind Kejriwal’s residence.

On Monday, Kejriwal wrote to Delhi Lt Governor Anil Baijal seeking to meet him today, along with all BJP and AAP MLAs, MPs and councillors in the national capital to find a solution to the sealing issue. Kejriwal’s letter came after Delhi BJP’s general secretary Ravinder Gupta wrote to him, saying the party’s Delhi unit president Manoj Tiwari, its MPs and MLAs will go to the CM’s residence at 9 am today to discuss the ongoing sealing drive.

In his letter to the L-G, the chief minister said, “As the (sealing) matter comes under you, I along with (BJP) MPs and MLAs, also AAP MLAs and councillors will come to you. As they will reach my residence at 9 am, I hope that we all will come to your residence at 9.30 am.”

The Aam Aadmi Party and the BJP have levelled allegations against each other over the issue of sealing drive being carried out by the BJP led Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) in the national capital.
