Did Kangana Ranaut breach dress protocol while appearing before Indian President?

Getting a national award for their contribution in the film industry is every actor’s dream in India and receiving the prestige from the President add gems to the crown. As freedom comes with responsibilities, their is a certain dress code that needs to be followed before appearing in front of the President.  But this time, during the 63rd National Award Ceremony held in the national capital on Tuesday, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut was dressed inappropriately while receiving the award.

What is more shocking is that when we compare to it to the previous award ceremonies, Kangana is seen in proper dress code required to meet the President. During the first time she was awarded, Kangana was seen wearing traditional attire, while she was seen in a cream coloured gown for the second time. But, this time, even though she was wearing a white-coloured gown, the dress can be said inappropriate for meeting President Pranab Mukherjee during a public event. Comparing with the dress code of other actress who were crowned with best actress award by President of India, we were amazed to see the difference. Renowned actress Tabu while receiving the national award from Vice President Hamid Ansari, she was wearing a salwar suit. Vidya Balan wore a saree while receiving her award from former President Pratibha Patil. Konkana Sen Sharma has too followed the dress code while receiving her award.

Taking a closer look at the other competitors, Priyanka Chopra while receiving her honour for Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion, in which Kangana was also awarded, was seen in a saree. Leaving apart the dress code for National Awards, Madhuri Dixit while receiving her Padma Shree award preferred a saree. So, has the success for Kangana “Queen” Ranaut gave her an attitude to disrespect the President and the national award? or Was it a fashion disaster she could have easily avoided? Whatever it might be, Kangana should be ready for answering questions that will increase her ongoing problems.
