Kerala, November 29:  Facebook today exploded with trolls against Donald Trump from the most unlikely people to do the same. That’s right, the usually mild-mannered Malayalees erupted with anger at a few comments that ‘The Donald’ made today.

For a state that has imbibed the culture of the Left in its everyday life, from politics to films, it was simply unacceptable that  one of the greatest Communist leaders in history be criticised. Targeting the Cuban President Fidel Castro who recently passed away, Donald Trump took to Facebook to post a scathing message.

Posting on the popular social media site, Trump said, “Today, the world marks the passing of a brutal dictator who oppressed his own people for nearly six decades. Fidel Castro’s legacy is one of firing squads, theft, unimaginable suffering, poverty and the denial of fundamental human rights. While Cuba remains a totalitarian island, it is my hope that today marks a move away from the horrors endured for too long, and toward a future in which the wonderful Cuban people finally live in the freedom they so richly deserve.”

He then added, “Though the tragedies, deaths and pain caused by Fidel Castro cannot be erased, our administration will do all it can to ensure the Cuban people can finally begin their journey toward prosperity and liberty. I join the many Cuban Americans who supported me so greatly in the presidential campaign, including the Brigade 2506 Veterans Association that endorsed me, with the hope of one day soon seeing a free Cuba.”

The post was so horrifying to some Malayalees, that they decided to reply to Trump with the same coin. One angry Mallu wrote,  “There won’t be anyone [except for Fidel Castro] who has had interactions with 10 American presidents from Eisenhower to George W Bush. George Bush Junior waited for a dawn where there would not be Castro — who exerted significant influence on the Left in Latin American politics — and had to leave office without seeing that wish being fulfilled. Are you a man, you fool, who was scared of even the shadow of Castro?”

Meanwhile, another supporter made it a point to highlight America’s own predicament with Castro in power. he wrote, ‘Those pulling down America’s might had a field day. Sample this: “Cuba is a small country right under America’s nose whose people were unafraid and refused to bow down to America’s might. Though they [America] made over 600 attempts to kill him, they could not.” Here are some of the other posts that erupted on Facebook:
