Srinagar, Nov 29: A jawan was injured after an encounter broke out between infiltrating militants and Border Security Force troops along International Border in Samba sector of Jammu and Kashmir. Suspicious movement were reported in general area of Border Out Post Chamliyal in Samba sector. The BSF immediately cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. During the operation, BSF patrol was fire upon by miscreants. The firing was retaliated by BSF jawans.

According to reports, the BSF noticed suspicious movement along the International Border in Samba sector. When the BSF challenged, the infiltrators, who were holed up in a tube well pumphouse, started firing at the BSF. The firing has been retaliated by BSF jawans. The encounter is still underway. A jawan has been injured in the fierce gun-battle. More details are awaited.

Meanwhile, a group of heavily armed militants attacked an army camp in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. Heavy firing exchanges are now going on between the militants and security forces, police said.
