Mumbai, August 19: A collision of a Fiat Linea car with a truck on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway led to the death of three people. As per ANI, the accident took place near Palghar in Maharashtra and the impact was so dreadful that roof of the car was almost torn off. Also, the wind shield of the car was ripped off by the accident.

National Highway -8 connecting the financial capital Mumbai to Ahmedabad highway is reported the most accident-prone highway in Maharashtra. On Wednesday 14 people had died in a road accident on NH-8, reported Free Press Journal.

Mumbai-Agra, Mumbai-Bangalore and Panvel-Goa National Highways top the charts in a number of accidents. The data was provided by Highway Traffic Department of Maharashtra government. Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway is the most petrifying when it comes to length of highway with death and days.

A figure of accidents in 2012 states that Mumbai-Agra Road, 394 km long, witnessed close to 1553 accidents. Mumbai-Bangalore Road which has a length of 389 km saw around 1423 major accident. And at  Mumbai-Ahmedabad Road which is 121 km long saw 929 accidents. As per reports, more than 400 people become victims of road accidents every day.
