New Delhi, Oct 12: In the view of FIFA U-17 World Cup match between India and Ghana on Thursday, the Delhi Traffic Police issued a traffic advisory, on its Twitter handle, to ensure smooth flow of traffic for the convenience of public and spectators on roads around the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in South Delhi.

The advisory suggests that traffic flow on Bhishma Pitamah Marg, Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium Marg and CGO Road near the venue is likely to be affected due to the restrictions on the match day, on Thursday.

Vehicle going through the Kotla red light to Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium have been advised to take Chetna Marg, Defence Colony and travel to Lala Lajpat Rai Marg from the Lodhi flyover.

Commuters travelling towards the stadium or Bhishma Pitamah Marg from the Dayal Singh College red light have been directed to take Lodhi Road for further travel.

Further the advisory states that the traffic from Mehar Chand Market will be diverted to 5th Avenue Road towards Barapullah Road and Lodhi Road.

No heavy and commercial vehicles, including buses, will be allowed to ply on JLN Stadium Marg and Bhishma Pitamah Marg. They have been advised to go through the Ring Road and take either Lala Lajpat Rai Marg or Aurobindo Marg depending on where they are heading.

Similarly, movement of heavy and commercial vehicles will not be allowed on Maharishi Raman Marg and Max Mueller Marg. They will be diverted from Mahrishi Raman Marg to SBM-Humayun Road towards Zakir Hussain Marg. From Max Muller Marg, they will be diverted towards Dr Zakir Hussain Marg.

The Indian team has lost their opening two matches to USA and Columbia.
