Rajouri, Dec 2: A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan was injured along the LoC in Rajouri district of Jammu &Kashmir (J&K) due to fresh ceasefire violation from across the border. The jawan was immediately rushed to hospital. He is out of danger and his condition is stable.
At 10 AM, a BSF constable deployed at a forward location at LoC in Bhimbher Gali sector of Rajouri district sustained an injury due to single round fire (sniper fire) from Pakistan Forward Defence location”, a senior BSF officer said , reported by PTI.
This came after the Nagrota attack in J&K in which seven jawans of Indian Army were martyred on November 29, 2016.
There have been several ceasefire violations by Pakistan after the Indian army conducted ‘surgical strikes’ on September 29, 2016. After surgical strikes Pakistan has violated the ceasefire agreement 286 times.
Post ‘surgical strikes,’ 26 people have been killed (which includes jawans and civilians) so far and more than 83 injured due to cross border firing across the LoC.
