Ahmedabad, November 14: After an alleged second video of Hardik Patel emerged on Tuesday, the Patidar leader casually answered to questions posed on him saying that this is election time, everyone has the right to level allegations.
On Monday an alleged sex CD of Hardik was aired on Gujarati news channels, a day after a new video emerged that claim Patidar leader was drinking with his friends.
When media asked Hardik Patel for his comment on the second video to which he casually replied and said, “No problem. This is election time, everyone has the right to level allegations”.
The videos claim to be shot this year in May, when the 24-year-old Patidar leader and his supporters with their heads shaved marched about 155 kilometres to demand “justice for Patels” ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Gujarat. India.com alone cannot verify the authenticity of the videos.
On Monday, several Gujarati channels broadcast what they described as a “sex CD” of Hardik Patel.
The footage shows a lookalike of Hardik Patel with an unidentified woman, fully clothed and with her back to the camera, and few minutes later the room turns dark.
While the Patidar leader termed the video as a ‘dirty trick’ of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the ruling party of Gujarat said it has nothing to do with the alleged sex cd. Hardik’s supporters claimed the video was morphed.
“A few days ago, I told the media that such CDs will be circulated. This is just the beginning of dirty politics. I am sure that BJP would circulate some more CDs because the man who did it recently joined the party in Delhi. But I am not at all worried about such tactics,” Hardik Patel told ANI.
He claimed that the video was morphed and he will soon come give an evidence in the coming days to prove his innocence. “The BJP is looking to retain power by defaming me,” he said.
On the other hand, BJP leaders rubbished Hardik’s allegation and dared him to file a police complaint.
The young leader has vowed to help take down the BJP in Gujarat Assembly elections 2017. The 24-year-old youth leader has been veering towards the Congress ahead of the polls and the party promised it would give the influential Patidars constitutionally valid reservation.
The assembly elections in Gujarat will be conducted in two phases on December 9 and 14 and the results will be declared on December 18.
