Ahmedabad, Dec 9: Voting for the second phase of Gujarat Assembly Elections 2017 will take place today. The polling on 93 seats of Saurashtra and South Gujarat regions will begin at 8 AM and continue till 5 PM.  A total of 2.22 crore voters will cast their vote on Thursday. Voters are required to check their names in the voters list and get their voter slip before heading out to cast their vote on December 14. (Live updates on Phase 2 voting)

How to Check Your Name in Voters List

Go to the Election Commission of India website www.eci.nic.in

Scroll down to find the ‘Name Search in Voters List’ option and click on it. On the page that appears here, you will get a list of state. Click on Gujarat in this list.

On this page, you will find two ways to find your name – Search by name and Search bi Id No. Choose the desired option.

In the first field, fill your district from the dropdown. Then in the following fields, fill your surname, name, father’s/husband’s name, age, gender and capture code. Click on the search option after filling these details.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has campaigned for the Bharatiya Janata Party aggressively, addressing several rallies in Gujarat. Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi has also been addressing multiple rallies in Gujarat.

While the first phase of voting took place on Saturday, the second phase is taking place on December 14 across 93 constituencies. Counting of votes will take place on December 18 along with the results for Himachal Pradesh Assembly Elections 2017.
