Valsad, March 21: At least 7 people have been killed and about 2 people have been critically injured after a jeep overturned in Gujarat on Monday night. The incident was reported from Valsad’s Dharampur city. Following the deadly incident, the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for immediate treatment.
Earlier this week, a massive fire broke out at a tyre factory in Valsad’s Salvav region. At least 12 fire tenders were rushed to the spot while the authorities are taking stock of the situation. The reports claimed that it has not been cleared that what caused the fire but efforts are on to douse the flame. (ALSO READ: 17 killed in road accident in Rajasthan)
Earlier this year in January, at least six people, which included two NRIs were killed after a tempo and a car collided with each other on National Highway eight in Gujarat. The accident took place around 7 a.m in the morning when the passengers were returning from the airport. Many such incidences have been reported from Gujarat. In November 2016, at least 14 persons were killed and three were injured when a pick-up van they were travelling in collided with a truck on the Dholka-Bagodara highway in Ahmedabad district.
