Panchkula, Oct 5: The Panchkula Commissioner on Thursday said that Gurmeet Ram Rahim’s adopted daughter Honeypreet Insan was not cooperating as desired, and the police may ask for further remand. The comment came on a day when Honeypreet and her associate Sukhdeep Kaur were taken to Bathinda, where she stayed for four days at a house. When asked about this, she said she didn’t remember whether she stayed there or not. A report in India Today said that police might opt for narco test for Honeypreet.
On Thursday, Honeypreet Insan and Sukhdeep Kaur were taken to Sector-20 police station. They were taken to Bathinda via bus. According to a report in Dainik Bhaskar, police believe that Honeypreet Insan spent most of her time in Punjab’s Malwa area during 39 days when she was absconding. Sukhdeep Kaur helped her. Honeypreet was questioned for two hours at the house, but she claimed that she didn’t remember whether she came there or not.
The report further said that Sukhdeep was driving Honeypreet’s car for four days. They stayed together around Chandigarh at three places. Honeypreet had 17 SIM cards, out of which three were international.
Panchkula ACP Mukesh Kumar said that since Honeypreet was denying her role in inciting violence in Panchkula, the police would seek permission for a lie-detector test on her. They would also seek further remand for her.
DainikBhaskar.com reported that Honeypreet was in Mohali, 3-4 days before her arrest. She had a cavalcade of three cars. She was also in touch with a politician. A police officer was allegedly guiding her.
