New Delhi, Sep 14: In 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted Hindi written in Devanagari script as the official language of India. Since then, Hindi Divas is celebrated every year on September 14. Hindi Divas is also celebrated as the birth anniversary of Beohar Rajendra Simha, who contributed in highlighting the importance of Hindi.
