New Delhi, Mar 13: The Honor 9 Lite, a device launched under Huawei’s sub-brand Honor, will go on sale on e-commerce site Flipkart at 12 noon today. The smartphone was launched on January 17 this year India. The Honor 9 Lite, which is the cut-down version of the Honor 9i, is available in two versions with the base 3GB RAM + 32GB version being priced at Rs 10,999 and the 4GB RAM +64GB version will cost you Rs 14,999.
On Flipkart sale, you will get a 5 per cent discount on the purchase of Honor 9 Lite. But there is a catch. The 5% instant discount will only be offered to the customers who make the payment through the State Bank of India and Axis Bank Buzz credit cards. Moreover, you can get Rs 2,200 cashback from Jio, provided that you activate the smartphone on Jio network, and make a recharge of either Rs 199 or Rs 299.
In February sale, the Honor 9 Lite was sold out in a record six minutes on Flipkart. “Despite fierce competition and almost a month from the first sale date, the device has received such a phenomenal response from the consumers,” said P Sanjeev, Vice President, Sales, Huawei Consumer Business Group. Honor was the top online smartphone brand in China in 2017, selling nearly 55 million devices and registering sales revenues of over $12 billion, market research firm Sino-Market Research said.
The Honor 9 Lite has a 5.65-inch IPS display with 18:9 aspect ratio and runs Android 8.0 Oreo topped with latest EMUI 8.0. The smartphone sports a 13MP quad-camera setup which is paired with a rear 13MP dual-lens camera, Phase-Detection AutoFocus (PDAF) and advanced wide aperture mode. The device has a double-sided 2.5D glass unibody constructed with layered nano-etched design on its back.
Honor 9 Lite is equipped with the Kirin 659 Octa-core processor, fabricated in a cutting-edge 16-nanometer process. The smartphone also houses a microSD card of up to 256 GB can be used to increase data storage. It has 3,000mAh battery which claims to deliver 86 hours offline music listening or 13 hours offline video watching. It has a rear fingerprint scanner on the rear which unlocks the device in 0.25 seconds.
