Hyderabad, September 14:  A woman who lost her son due to dengue was not allowed to enter the house located at Venkateswara Colony in Kukatpally by the owner on the rainy Wednesday night. The bereaved mother had to spend the whole night in rain. She kept sobbing on the dead body of her 10-year-old son. She was accompanied by her son because people residing in the neighbourhood closed their doors seeing the dead body.

As per a report on NDTV, the owner of the house did not allow the mother to bring in the dead body of Suresh as it had not been a year of his daughter’s marriage. Jagdish Gupta believes that it was inauspicious to allow the body of a boy inside the house who passed away due to dengue, adding, ” The disease might have spread to bring other’s health at risk.”

The body of the student of class six was taken to Venkateswara Colony from Niloufer Hospital (a Government run hospital) yesterday evening. The family that had moved here four years ago felt helpless in the middle of the night.

In the morning, few people noticed the scene and immediately a casket was brought to place the body inside it. The locals who expressed anger over the mentality of the owner collected the money for the final rites of the boy.
