New Delhi, Oct 13: Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath directed the police officials to identify, verify and deport illegal immigrants who are living in the state without proper government IDs. Addressing a meeting on Thursday which was held to review the law and order situation in the state, the CM asserted that a rigourous campaign should be organised to keep an eye on the infiltration of suspicious elements from states sharing borders with Uttar Pradesh.
“A statewide survey of foreign nationals, who are staying illegally in the state should be conducted, and they should be sent out,” Time Now quoted an official government statement.Earlier the Union home ministry had also filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court on Rohingya Muslims’ deportation to Myanmar, calling them a “security threat to India”
The Uttar Pradesh CM also asked officials to come up with strategies to minimise traffic problems. Directing them to crack down on criminals, CM Yogi also asked officials to make the state “crime-free”. The chief minister also reprimanded officials for the recent communal clashes and also pointed out where lack of coordination between SPs, DIGs, IGs and ADGs was noticed.
