New Delhi, June 20: It is just a day to go for the International Yoga Day 2017. Preparations are on in different parts of the country as well as the world for the day. Marjari Asana or the cat pose is beneficial for your spine. It loosens up your spine, making it more flexible. The Marjari Asana is also an effective pose for strengthening the back muscles. The Cat pose also tones and strengthens your shoulders. The cat pose also helps you improve your body posture and also brings flexibility to your neck. Here’s how it is done:
Repetition: Both the postures of Marjari Asana should be practised with 10 repetitions each. One must hold the pose for at least 5-7 seconds and breathe as has been advised in the video. (Also Watch: Video tutorial of Vrikshasana)
Caution: This asana must not be practised by those with a severe back injury or back ailment. Also, make sure your movements are soft so you don’t get a jerk on your back or neck.
