New Delhi, April 15: A woman was allegedly molested by a man during an IPL 2018 match at Wankhede stadium in Mumbai on Saturday. The incident happened when the DD vs MI match was underway. The accused has been arrested by the police.
The woman, in her complaint, had accused a man, who was working as a contractor at the stadium, of allegedly molesting her. Acting on the complaint, police immediately arrested the accused and produced him before the court on Sunday. The court has sent him to two-day police custody.
In the VIVO IPL 2018 clash, DD defeated MI by seven wickets on Saturday. Batting first, MI scored 194 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs hence, giving a target of 195 runs to its opponent DD. For MI Suryakumar Yadav scored the maximum runs – 53 on 32 balls whereas, DD’s Jason Roy bagged 91 runs on 53 balls for his team.
Captain Kane Williamson led from the front with a solid fifty as Hyderabad shrugged off initial wobble to beat Kolkata by five wickets in their IPL match. Chasing a mammoth 195-run target, the match went down to the final ball, however, Roy held his nerve to hand his side a thrilling victory.
Needing 11 off the final over, Roy hit a cover drive for four in the first ball followed by a six over fine leg. He, however, missed the next four deliveries making it a one-run, one-ball affair. He finally took a single off the final ball to help Delhi complete a thrilling seven-wicket win against Mumbai.
