Srinagar, Apr 6: To instil fear in the locals, Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists beheaded a 24-year-old man in South Kashmir’s Bandipore district. The deceased, Manzoor Ahmad, and his father had been kidnapped by the terrorists. While the father managed to escape with bullet injuries, Ahmad’s headless body was found in an orchard.
Police said that Ahmad was decapitated by the Lashkar-e-Taiba, a Pakistan-based terrorist group. His father Ghulam Mohammad Bhat escaped even when he was fired upon and got hit.
Reports said that Mohammad Saleem Parray is behind the beheading and other civilian murders in the area. This is the second such case in Hajin. On Monday, the terror group had kidnapped and murdered a man named Nasser Ahmad.
The father-son duo was kidnapped on Wednesday. The Lashkar terrorists stormed their house and dragged the two out.
Hajin had been a militant hotbed in the early 90s. Now the terrorists are trying to hold sway in the area. The security forces have conducted several operations here to eliminate terrorists in the town.
