Srinagar, Apr 4: Terrorists hurled grenade on a police-CRPF post at a village in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday evening. The attack, carried out at Keegan village, was strongly retaliated by the security personnel who fired upon the militants. Meanwhile, more details are awaited.
The attack comes a few hours after a report stated that Lashkar-e-Taiba chief Hafiz Saeed and underworld don Dawood Ibrahim has been named in the updated terror list of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).
Earlier on April 2, the security forces had gunned down 13 militants following which the intelligence officials on Tuesday warned of a spike in attempted attacks by the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and the Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) in the state in coming months.
