JeM planning another Pathankot attack with help of ISI and IM

New Delhi, May 25: The militant group, Jaish-e-Mahammed (JeM), which attacked Pathankot airbase in January, is allegedly planning another attack in India. They have activated sleeper cells to carry out recces in cities across north India. JeM allegedly aided by Pakistan’s spy agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Indian Mujahideen (IM) in the new attempt to attack India.

This information has been submitted in a report to the Punjab government by intelligence officials. JeM commander Awaid Mohammed from Pakistan is asked to carry out the attack. As per reports, he would use fake Malaysian passport to enter India to carry out the Indians.

As per a Times of India, JeM is revamping their recruitment drive and has set up new offices in Pakistan to increase the terror network. JeM’s offices in Kohat and Hazara region are being revamped. The report adds, “Real-time reconnaissance of the cities is being carried out by the sleeper cells of ISI and Indian Mujahideen.” The report also sayd that  at least 7,844 calls, dumped into the gateway of Indian agencies, from suspicious Pakistan numbers mostly from Bahawalpur, were being monitored by the agencies, said Union home ministry.
