Indian Army gunned down two terrorists as it foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in Keran sector of Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district.

Srinagar, June 22: Indian Army gunned down two terrorists as it foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in Keran sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district. The area has been cordoned off and is being sanitised to check for remaining untoward elements. According to initial reports, security forces engaged the heavily-armed terrorists who tried to escape. Search operations to track down other members of the group were going on. More details are awaited.

The Army foiled an infiltration bid on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. “An infiltration bid was foiled in Pallanwala sector of the LoC. The infiltrators ran back leaving behind war-like stores of arms and ammunition,” said a statement issued by the army’s Udhampur-headquartered Northern Command.
