According to family sources, Rakesh, the son of Siddaramaiah, was rushed to the hospital after he complained of severe pain in the pancreas.

Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah flies to Brussels to meet ailing son

Bengaluru, July 28 (IANS) Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday flew to Brussels to see his elder son Rakesh, who was admitted to a university hospital in Belgium after falling ill while on a tour to Europe, an official said.

“The Chief Minister had to rush to Belgium at short notice as Rakesh was undergoing treatment in the University Hospital Brussels. The son’s condition is stable,” the official noted.

According to family sources, Rakesh was rushed to the hospital after he complained of severe pain in the pancreas. “Rakesh has been under observation at the hospital’s intensive care unit even as there have been signs of recovery,” the official added.

Rakesh has been holidaying in Europe along with his friends since a week. Siddaramaiah’s wife, younger son Yathindra and family doctor Ravi Kumar left for Belgium two days ago.
