New Delhi, Mar 24: Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju has lauded two children for their financial contribution to Bharat Ke Veer scheme, launched by Centre to help families of martyred soldiers.

The minister shared their picture with Union Home Minister Rajnath Sinfh on Twitter and said, “two kids named Avanee Dalmia & Priyang Dalmia contributed Rs 1 lakh each to @BharatKeVeer fund from their own pocket money & handed over the cheque to @rajnathsingh ji. Salute to such amazing kids.”

Last year, the website of Bharat Ke Veer was launched by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar. The main aim of this website is to enable the public to help families by donating money directly through to accounts of next of kin of bravehearts or to Bharat Ke Veer corpus.

Soldiers from armed forces included in the portal for these contributions include Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP), Assam Rifles (AR), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF-India), National Security Guards (NSG) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
