New Delhi, September 28: LG has added another phone in the K series called K7i that comes with a unique technology of not allowing the mosquitoes to come near you. With the phone comes a rear cover that can be placed when required to drive away the mosquitoes. This becomes possible with the speaker that the additional rear cover has, as it is equipped with ultrasonic frequencies.

According to SlashGear,  the additional back cover in the box, when placed behind the phone emits a sound in the 30 kHz range, while the human range of hearing is 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The makers of the phone are not sure whether it will work for other animals or not.

Amit Gujral, Chief Marketing Officer, LG Electronics India was quoted by NDTV Gadgets saying LG has been on top of the list when it comes to innovation and with the newly launched phone wherever customers are they need not worry about mosquitoes.

Priced at Rs 7,990, the phone comes with a rear camera of 8 megapixels and 5-megapixel front camera. As far as the inbuilt storage is concerned, the phone comes with 16GB inbuilt storage that can be expanded via the micro SC card. The unique phone has a battery of 2500 mAh and weighs 138 grams.
