New Delhi, Nov 15: In the news today, November 15, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath will meet the Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar before the Supreme Court’s hearing on the land dispute case in December. Ravi Shankar on Monday said that he doesn’t have an agenda, was involved as a mediator in the Babri Masjid dispute and will listen to everyone. In other reports, Bharatiya Janata Party’s Central Election Committee will meet today to finalise the names of the candidates contesting in the Gujarat Assembly Elections 2017. According to the reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah will be present in the meeting. The reports also have it that the party is likely to announce more than 100 candidates in the upcoming Gujarat assembly polls.
Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh civic elections 2017, chief minister Yogi Adityanath will kickstart campaigns from Ayodhya. Adityanath will also visit Kanpur, Aligarh, and Mathura to campaign for the upcoming local elections in the state.
Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal will meet Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar in Chandigarh on the issue of paddy stubble burning, contributing to the deteriorating air quality in the capital city. The two chief ministers and other top officials of Haryana and Delhi governments will meet at around 12:15 PM at Haryana Secretariat. Delhi’s air quality has shown a little improvement on Wednesday morning but it remained ‘very poor’ on Tuesday.
