New Delhi, Nov 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Tuesday attend the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership meeting in Manila. The Prime Minister will hold a series of bilateral meeting with his counterparts throughout the day before returning to India.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Finance under SAFEMA (Smugglers and Foreign Exchange Manipulators) Forfeiture of Properties Act will auction three properties belonging to underworld don Dawood Ibrahim on Tuesday. The auction will be conducted at 10 am by a private auctioneering firm at Indian Merchant Chambers (IMC) Churchgate through E-Auction and public auction.
The Supreme Court will today continue hearing the appeal filed by the Delhi Government challenging the Delhi High Court order which had said that the Lieutenant Governor (LG) is the boss of Delhi. Earlier on November 2, a five-judge Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court observed that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi needs the Lieutenant Governor’s nod to govern the national capital, but the LG cannot sit on files beyond a reasonable period.
