New Delhi, December 2: As proceedings of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha begin on the thirteenth day of the Winter session, the unrest amidst the opposition seems to be intensifying. While the debate over demonetisation continues in both houses, a new slew of issues seems to have taken the lawmakers’ focus.

TMC leader Mamata Banerjee and her fellow party members seem to be leading a lively debate with  various  concerns in mind. The Lok Sabha was yesterday shaken by   a harrowing experience faced by Mamata Banerjee  in a recent trip in IndiGo airlines from Patna to Kolkata. The flight was reported to be short of fuel but had to circle the airport for nearly 30 minutes  for clearance to land from the Air Traffic Control.

Another issue that is expected to be brought up is the  deployment of  army personnel at two toll plazas on a national highway in West Bengal without informing the state government. Mamata Banerjee has already accused the Narendra Modi government of creating a situation “worse than Emergency”. She is also reported to have said, “This is a military coup. My officials checked with Odisha, Bihar, Kerala, Chattisgarh nowhere such a thing happened. This happened only in Bengal.”

Meanwhile, the Congress party is expected to take up the issue of the official Twitter accounts of the party as well as the Vice President Rahul Gandhi being hacked. The party is also expected to continue with its demand of a roll back on demonetisation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had taken part in the debate in the Rajya Sabha yesterday, however, the ruckus prevented him from speaking at the session. The Prime Minister is expected to speak on the issue of demonetisation in the near future. Stay with us as we bring you the latest live updates of  happenings in the Parliament.
