Kolkata, Dec 2: Hitting out at the West Bengal Chief Minister, BJP spokesperson Siddharth Nath Singh said first Mamata Banerjee had apprehensions about flight being low on fuel, then she related a regular army exercise to a coup. He further stated that the Bengal CM has been in shock after losing money and at present she is not in the proper frame of mind.
On Wednesday, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was on the IndiGo flight from Patna to Kolkata, which was reported short of fuel, upon touchdown the emergency protocols were carried out and this had created an uproar in the Parliament.
On Thursday, Indian Army carried out a routine exercise at toll plazas in West Bengal to collect the necessary data required and this was termed as a ‘military coup’ by the Bengal CM and also she alleged that the State government was not informed about this exercise.
The TMC chief is leaving no stone unturned in hitting out at the Centre by all means. However, BJP has said that an investigation will take place in the aircraft incident.
“We have full respect for the army, but we are told that the data they are looking for is already available,” said TMC MP Derek O’Brien.
