Heavy rainfall continues in several parts of Mumbai, causing waterlogging and traffic jams.

Mumbai, July 18: Mumbai has been witnessing heavy rainfall since past 24 hours. Local train services are majorly affected due to continuous downpour. Local trains on the Central line are running 15-20 minutes behind the schedule. On Western line, express train movement started at 5 am on Down line and 4.45 hrs on Up line after waterlogging reduced on tracks at Valsad. Local trains on Western Line are running on time. Heavy rainfall continues in several parts of Mumbai, causing waterlogging and traffic jams. Heavy rain across the city brought traffic to a halt on all major routes on Monday. The Andheri subway was shut for traffic after it flooded. Currently, waterlogging is reported at Linking Road in Bandra, SV Road, VM Road, Kurla, Matunga, Sonapur junction and other parts of the city. Slow moving traffic was reported between Borivli and Andheri on the Western Express Highway.

Mumbai commuters took to social media to share updates on local train and traffic.

The Mumbai Police have been sharing constant notifications for citizens for updates. The Meteorological Department has issued warnings of heavy to very heavy rainfall in the the next 48 hours, which means Mumbaikars will have to face more difficulties.
