Mumbai, August 13: Services of Mumbai local trains will hit on Sunday due to the weekly mega block carried out by the Mumbai Railways on Central, Harbour, and Western Lines. In a bid to avoid inconvenience for the passengers, the Railway authority has released the schedule of changes in train services. As per reports, Up and Down Fast services and Up and Down slow services of Mumbai local trains will be affected due to the block.
On the Central line, down fast/semi fast trains leaving CSMT from 9.38 am to 2.54 pm will be diverted on down slow line at Matunga, halting at all stations between Sion and Mulund stations. The down fast trains beyond Thane will be re-diverted on down the fast line from Mulund. All Up fast/semi fast trains leaving Thane from 10.46 am to 3.18 pm will halt at Mulund, Bhandup, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar and Kurla stations in addition to their respective scheduled halts.
On the Harbour line, all down services to Vashi / Belapur /Panvel leaving CSMT Mumbai from 11.21 am to 4.39 pm and down Harbour line services to Bandra / Andheri leaving CSMT Mumbai from 10.38 am to 4.43 pm will remain suspended. All Up Harbour line services for CSMT Mumbai leaving Panvel/Belapur/Vashi from 9.52 am to 3.26 pm and Up Harbour line services for CSMT Mumbai leaving Bandra / Andheri from 10.44 am to 4.13 pm will remain suspended. However, special trains services will run between Panvel and Kurla (Platform No.8) during the block period. Harbour line passengers are permitted to travel via Main Line and Western Railway from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm.
Meanwhile, on the Western line, train services will not be affected due to the block at the day time on Sunday. A jumbo block will begin from 23.30 hrs to 03.30 hrs on Up fast line and from 00.55 hrs to 04.55 hrs on down fast line between Borivali and Bhayandar stations for the maintenance of track, signaling and overhead equipment. During the block period all Up and down fast line trains will run on slow lines between Borivali and Vasai Road.
