Patna, January 5: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today be gracing the closing ceremony of the 350th ‘Prakash Parv’ at Gandhi Maidan in Patna, Bihar today. The festival commemorates the 350th birth anniversary of the Sikh religious leader, Guru Gobind Singh.
A makeshift Gurudwara has been set up at Gandhi Maidan in which the Holy Guru Granth Sahib has been installed. The Prime Minister is expected to launch commemorative stamps on the occasion. He will also address the devotees.
Political allies and rivals including, Bihar Governor Ram Nath Kovind, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal, Union Minsters Ravi Shankar Prasad and Ram Vilas Paswan and other dignitaries too will participate in the Prakash Parv festivities.
The Prakash Parv of Shri Guru Gobind Singh is one of the most important festivals on the Sikh calendar.
