Narendra Modi in Chhapra: PM takes a dig at Nitish Kumar for taantrik fiasco

Patna, October 25: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday partook in the pleasures of mocking his biggest rival in the ongoing Bihar Assembly Elections, while addressing a rally in Bihar’s Chhapra. Modi took a dig at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar after his video with a tantric surfaced online earlier this week, saying that the tantric was the fourth biggest force in the Grand Alliance.

The video that had been uploaded by BJP leader Giriraj Singh and which showed the tantric chiding Nitish for aligning himself with Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav. In the video, the tantric could be seen praising Nitish Kumar and chanting anti Lalu slogans. Narendra Modi did not hold back in cracking jokes at the expense of Nitish Kumar. He said,”..mujhe pehli baar pata chala ye Mahaswarthbandhan mein sirf 3 partner nahin hai, chaar khilaadi hain. Ek Lalu ji, Nitish ji, Madam Sonia ji aur chautha taantrik.” (This is the first time that I came to know that in this Mahaswarthbandhan there are four players- Lalu, Nitish, Madam Sonia and the fourth Taantrik!)

Modi sounded quite jubilant in his speech and displayed an incorrigibly positive outlook saying that NDA’s victory in Bihar elections was decisive. He said that BJP will sweep the Bihar elections much in the same way as it has swept the recent Ladakh Council elections. Modi promised that the people of Bihar will celebrate two Diwalis this year, one of which will be on the 8th of November, when BJP will be voted to power in the state,

On Friday, BJP’s Giriraj Singh had posted a video on Youtube, showing Nitish Kumar with a taantrik, who is hugging and kissing him and raising anti-Lalu slogans, while Nitish sits like an obedient child, smiling shyly. The video had caused his party and the entire alliance much embarrassment and also probably weakened their chances in the ongoing elections, by exposing a possible rift in the Alliance.
