In a rare occasion, Pranab Mukherjee broke protocol to award the Bharat Ratna medal at the ailing former PM’s residence. Politicians cut across party lines lauded the decision. 3. Raise your voice against me, and thy shall be kicked on your back- Arvind Kejriwal.

The rebel duo of Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav was ousted from AAP’s National Council in an canny manner this weekend. The duo alleged that the move to kick them out was pre-planned by Arvind Kejriwal and he had also hired goons who physically assaulted them. The battle was on for weeks with sting operations nailing down Kejriwal hurling abuses at the duo and threatening to form a new party. ‘To test a man’s character, give him power’ said Abraham Lincoln. After Nitin Gadkari challenged Sonia Gandhi and Anna Hazare for televised debate on the bill, the Congress President slammed Gadkari and his government policies of being anti-farmer. In another challenge, this time it is Hazare who has challenged the PM for an open debate; will the Modi-government bite the bait?
