New Delhi, Apr 7: A non-scheduled flight with 344 passengers on board made a safe emergency landing safely at T-3 terminal of Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in Delhi on Saturday. The Russia-bound aircraft from Vietnam reportedly suffered engine failure.

The non-scheduled flight number ABG 8722 landed safely at 6:05 PM on runway number 1129. As many as eight fire tenders are present at the spot.

“Information was received at Police Station IGI Airport from CISF control room at 05:22 PM regarding emergency landing of flight no. ABG 8772, a non-scheduled flight. Now, the said flight has safely landed at 06:05 PM with 344 passengers on Runway No. 1129,” an official at IGI Airport was quoted as saying.

A Russia-bound aircraft from Vietnam with 345 passengers on-board made an emergency landing at the T-3 terminal of the IGI airport here, after suffering an engine failure, said Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL).

According to a report in The Outlook, the Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) spokesperson has claimed that the non-scheduled flight was going from Phu-Quoe in Vietnam to Yekaterinburg Russia.
