According to CNN-News18 and ANI, two stones found near the body have a couple of lines written in Hindi, which read, “Padmavati ka virodh. Hum putle nahi jalaate hain, hum maarte hain‘ (Protest against ‘Padmavati’. We don’t burn effigies, we kill).” But there is no independent confirmation if the dead body found at Nahargarh fort is related to the anti-‘Padmavati’ protests.

Earlier on Thursday, the movie has been cleared by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) without any cuts, but the producers say they are not planning to release the film without the Indian censor board’s go-ahead.
‘Padmavati’, featuring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, has been facing the wrath of various Rajput groups and political leaders, who have accused filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali of distorting history.
Historians are divided on whether Padmini actually existed. She finds mention in the 16th century epic poem “Padmavat”. Earlier scheduled to be released in cinema halls on December 1, the makers of the movie have postponed its release date for an indefinite period.
