New Delhi, March 21: The Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha will today be proceeding with key proceedings as part of the ongoing budget session. While one bill and five discussions have been slated in the Rajya Sabha, the Lok Sabha will see action on a finance Bill.

The discussions in the Rajya Sabha will include Discussion on the Union Budget 2017-18, the working of the Ministry of Railways, the working of the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, the working of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and also discussion on the working of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Further, the upper house will discuss the Human Immunodeficiency Virus and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (Prevention and Control) Bill, 2014 as part of reforming the status of health in the country. Meanwhile, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will be attending the proceedings of the lower house.

In the Lok Sabha, Arun Jaitley will move a Finance Bill. The bill is a key part of the Union Budget 2017-18 and is expected to be passed today. On Monday, the house managed to approve  four GST Bills, and Demands for Grants . Yesterday’s proceedings also witnessed the External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj discussing the hate crimes against non-resident Indians residing in the United States.
