Petrol price rises for the first time since dynamic pricing came into effect: Here is how much it costs on June 29

The price of petrol has risen for the first time since dynamic pricing came into effect in India on June 16. On Wednesday, 6 am, the Indian Oil Corp raised the price of petrol in Kolkata and Chennai by 1 paisa per litre including state taxes and levies.

New Delhi, June 29: The price of petrol has risen for the first time since dynamic pricing came into effect in India on June 16. On Wednesday, 6 am, the Indian Oil Corp raised the price of petrol in Kolkata and Chennai by 1 paisa per litre including state taxes and levies. From Thursday 6 am, the price remain unchanged in both cities. The price of petrol rose in Delhi on Thursday by 1 paisa and stood at Rs 63.47 per litre. In Mumbai, the price remain unchanged for Thursday and stood at Rs 74.71 per litre.

It was for the first time on Wednesday and Thursday (for Delhi) that the price of petrol went up since dynamic pricing came into effect. In the 12 days before June 28, the price of petrol either fell or remained unchanged.

The price of petrol has fallen by Rs 3.45 per litre in Delhi in the past 13 days. The price of diesel has gone down by Rs 2.41 per litre in the past 13 days. On June 16, when the dynamic pricing of fuel came into effect, petrol price was cut by Rs 1.43 per litre while diesel price was cut by Rs 1.45 per litre.
