Varanasi, September 23: Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation of the toilet for the first time with his hands in Varanasi’s Shahanshahpur village. PM Modi said, “UNICEF’s report tells that if the house is toilet, then the survival of the disease is saved by an annual income of 50 thousand rupees. People of a village here told me that after 2 October nobody will go out for defecation. Today I went to the village where it is written in the Toilet: Izzat house This is for the dignity of our women. Those who respect women, they will definitely build a toilet”, reported Dainik Bhaskar.

PM Narendra Modi laid the foundation of a toilet outside the house of a labourer Arvind who belongs to Musnar in Shahanshahpur. Arvind told Dainik Bhaskar that on September 20, some people came and asked him does he goes out for a toilet. When Arvind said yes, one of the men told him that on September 23, the PM himself will come here and dig with a spade. During his address at a public meeting at Shahanshahpur village on September 23, the Prime Minister talked about cleanliness and said, “I had the opportunity to help in toilet construction at a village nearby. The people of the village have decided to make the village open defecation free. Swachhata is a Puja for me. Cleanliness is a way to serve the poor of India”, reported ANI.
