Former Bharatiya Janata Party leader and union minister Jaswant Singh is in a very critical condition after suffering a head injury at his house in New Delhi on Friday, August 8. A defence ministry statement reportedly said: “At present the condition is very critical. He is on life support systems and under constant monitoring by a team of neurosurgeons and critical care providers.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to the family, tweeted the PMO. “The PM spoke to the family of former Union Minister Shri Jaswant Singh this morning. He prays for Shri Singh’s speedy recovery,” read the tweet.
BJP senior leader LK Advani visited Jaswant Singh in hospital and was present when he was being operated upon. Singh is currently on life support system.
