New Delhi, November 13: In an another twist to Pradyuman Thakur murder case, the juvenile accused has retracted the confession he was said to have made before investigators. The juvenile is said to have alleged that the investigators beat him up and recorded the confession in their own words.
The accused told a team of CBI officials and a legal-cum-probation officer from the district child protection unit that the investigators forced him to confess the Class 2 student’s murder, sources told Hindustan Times. The accused narrated a different sequence of events to the visiting team of September 8, the day Pradyuman was found murdered at Gurugram’s Ryan International School. The accused said that on the day of the incident, he had first a temple near his house to say shradh prayers for his grandmother, sources said. The boy said he reached school around 8 AM and saw his friend who asked him to wait. He waited for his friend near the water cooler but when he did not come after two minutes, he went to the music room to meet his teacher as she had recently lost her father.
As the music room was locked, he returned but could not his friend there. So, he decided to go the washroom, where he heard the screams of a boy who was vomiting blood. He rushed out and informed gardener Harpal and then a teacher about the injured boy, the accused told the visiting team, sources said.
Earlier, the Gurgaon Police accused the school bus conductor Ashok Kumar of murdering Pradyuman.
