Ghatkopar Building Collapse: Shiv Sena Leader Sunil Shitap Booked For Culpable Homicide, Detained
Two wings of a residential building ‘Saidarshan’, which is located on LBS Road, near Shreyas Cinema in Ghatkopar, collapsed.
Mumbai, July 25: A four-storeyed residential building in Mumbai’s Ghatkopar area collapsed on Tuesday. According to initial reports, nine people have been rescued, while 30-40 people are still feared trapped under debris. A call about building collapse in Ghatkopar was made around 10:43 am to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). Fire brigade and teams of disaster management have arrived at the spot and a rescue operation was underway. Mumbai police is also on the spot. We will be updating live on Ghatkopar building collapse.
According to reports, two wings of a residential building ‘Saidarshan’, which is located on LBS Road, near Shreyas Cinema in Ghatkopar, collapsed. Nine people have been rescued so far and more than 30 people are still feared to be trapped under the rubble, reported news agency ANI. Nine people who have been rescued were taken to a hospital.

The Mumbai Fire Brigade has declared it as a major incident. There is no report of casualties so far. Further details are awaited.
