New Delhi, Nov 14: At a time when he is fire fighting attempts to ‘defame’ him, Gujarat Patidar leader Hardik Patel has found some support in another young leader from his state. Jignesh Mavani has come out in open support of Hardik Patel in the sensational sex CD controversy.

“Dear Hardik Patel, don’t worry. I am with you. And right to sex is a fundamental right. No one has right to breach your privacy,” tweeted Jignesh Mevani, the Dalit leader who has pledged support to the Congress in the upcoming Assembly elections in Gujarat.

Mevani even slammed those who trolled him on social media enquiring when his ‘CD’ would be released.

Sathio, facebook ke inbox me messages mat bhejo ki tumhara C.D. kab aayega ! Jab aaye tab dekh lena… Hahaha (Friends, don’t inbox me asking about my CD…you’ll get to know when it will be there),” Mevani said on Twitter.

Local channels in Gujarat aired a video clip which allegedly showed Hardik Patel with a woman inside a hotel room. The 4-minute-long video, which has a timestamp of May 16, 2017, appears to have been shot by a hidden camera.

“The person in the video is not me. Dirty politics is being played now,” Hardik Patel said on Monday blaming the BJP of maligning his image ahead of the crucial Assembly elections in Gujarat. “The CD is morphed, I will consult my lawyers and will take appropriate action,” he added.

New Video Shows Hardik Drinking

Meanwhile, a video being circulated on social media shows a man resembling Hardil drinking with his friends. A few Gujarati channels have also picked up this video which was reportedly made in May ahead of PM Narendra Modi’s visit to Gujarat, which is a dry state.

On the other hand, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has rubbished Hardik’s allegations. Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said his party has nothing to do with the sex tape.

Mandviya said if Hardik believes that the video is fake he should file a police complaint. “The BJP has nothing to do anything with the CD. Our party doesn’t indulge in succh dirty politics,” he said.  (Also Read: Can Support ‘Chor’ Congress to Defeat ‘Mahachor’ BJP in Gujarat, Says Hardik Patel)

Hardik Patel has maintained that if the Congress clarifies its stand on quotas for the Patels, he will not have issues in supporting the Congress in the Gujarat Assembly elections, scheduled to be held in two phases in December. (Also Read: Rahul, Hardik Hold ‘Secret Meeting’. The Congress is yet to commit anything to Hardik Patel. Talks of meeting between Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi and Hardik Patel to finalise the deal has been doing the rounds for long. However, the two leaders are yet to meet. Last month, CCTV footage of Hardik Patel sneaking into a five-star hotel in Ahmedabad where Rahul Gandhi was staying during his visit to Gujarat was shown on various television channels. Both Congress and Patel had then rubbished the reports.
