Samba, Nov 29: Three terrorists have been gunned down in an encounter between militants and security forces in Samba area of Jammu and Kashmir. As per reports, the BSF troops noticed suspicious movement along the international border around midnight. An unspecified number of terrorists foiled an infiltration attempt from across the international border at Fatwal village in Chamliyal area, Ramgarh sector. A BSF jawan was also injured in the operation. The encounter is now over and the area is now being sanitized.
As the terrorists entered the Indian Territory, BSF troops challenged them and strongly retaliated. As per reports, the terrorists took refuge inside a structure built on a bore well in the agricultural land of a local farmer. In another such incident a group of heavily armed terrorists attacked an army camp in Nagrota in Jammu and Kashmir. One Army jawan and two terrorists were killed in the fierce gunbattle. Nagrota is the headquarters of the Army’s 16 corps. As per reports, terrorists started firing at a field regiment camp located in the garrison town of Nagrota at 5:30 AM. According to preliminary reports, three terrorists were seen close to an ammunition depot of White Knight Corps Army Unit in Nagrota.
The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway has been closed for traffic and the district administration has closed all schools in Nagorta tehsil as a precautionary measure. “We have ordered closure of all schools and education institutions in Nagrota tehsil in view of the terror attack”, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Simrandeep Singh said
