New Delhi, Mar 28: Planning to visit seventh wonder of world Taj Mahal then there is important information. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has decided that the entry ticket of the monument will be valid only for three hours. And anyone spending extra time will have to pay extra.
Issuing a public notice, the ASI official said that the extra charge have not been decided till now. The department is looking into this. The move is being taken to cap the number of visitors. Everyday huge amount of visitors come to see it.
Recently, Uttar Pradesh government has decided to open Taj Mahal ticket windows 45 minutes before sunrise for the tourists. This will help tourists in avoiding long queues. Minister of State for Culture Mahesh Sharma informed the Lok Sabha. The entry ticket price has also been hiked–for foreign tourists the ticket would cost Rs 1,250 and for domestic visitors it will be Rs 400. It is listed as seventh wonders of the world. Many times, during peak tourist season and other occasions, the number of tourists crosses 60,000 to 70,000 per day.
The Taj Mahal is seen as one of the most beautiful buildings ever created and is hugely famous among tourists especially foreigners. The marble structure in Agra is a mausoleum, an enduring monument to the love of a husband for his favourite wife.
