Chennai, February 15: Tamil Nadu politician Tamilaruvi Manian met superstar Rajinikanth at his Poes Garden residence in Chennai and termed it a “courtesy visit”. When asked about Rajinikanth’s decision to foray into politics, Manian said, “He will let you all know about his political affairs. There is nothing to say further.”

An alliance between superstar Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth seemed unlikely as the latter has a “hue of saffron” in his politics. “There is a hue of saffron in Rajni’s politics. If that doesn’t change, then I don’t see an alliance with him,” said Haasan.

“My politics will definitely not be saffron,” Haasan added.

On December 31, 2017, the Rajinikanth had announced that he will float a new party that will pursue “spiritual politics” and will contest the next Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
