Tata Mumbai Marathon 2018: Traffic Advisory Issued by Mumbai Police For January 21 Race Day

Mumbai, Jan 20: Tata Mumbai Marathon 2018 will begin at 5:40 am from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus on Sunday, January 21. The Mumbai Police have issued a traffic advisory ahead of the marathon that will be held in six categories. All roads on the route of the marathon will remain closed for vehicular traffic between 6 am and 1 pm on Sunday except for emergency services.

For the 42 km category (full marathon), traffic movement will not be allowed on roads between Mahapalika Marg at CST and Bandra Reclamation from 6 am to 1 pm. For the 21 km category (half marathon), roads between Rang Sharda Auditorium in Bandra and CST. Parking of vehicles will also not be allowed on the marathon route. The Tata Marathon is being promoted as the largest marathon in Asia and also as the largest mass participation sports event in the continent. It is the richest race in India with a prize money worth 405,000 dollars.
