Chennai, September 16: Sidelined AIADMK leader TTV Dinakaran on Saturday attacked O Panneerselvam and appealed to the people to not to believe what others, especially his opponents are saying. “My opponents will even accuse me of planting bombs in connivance with Dawood Ibrahim. Will you believe it? Please don’t,” he said.
Strengthening his attack further, the former deputy general secretary of AIADMK slammed Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E Palaniswami and said that EPS is scared because of the corruption charges against him and will go to mother-in law’s house (prison).
Recently, after AIADMK’s interim general secretary Sasikala Natarajan was sacked from her post in a General Council meeting of the ruling party in Tamil Nadu chaired by CM E Palaniswami and E Panneerselvam in Chennai, the MLAs of Dinakaran faction on September 14 knocked the doors of Election Commission in the national capital urging them to not to consider the meeting legal. The faction of Dinakaran on Thursday also moved Madras High Court seeking a floor test in Tamil Nadu assembly.
Earlier, during the floor test of Palaniswami government, 19 AIADMK MLAs (who are now disqualified) had voted against the confidence motion. They all were the supporters of Dinakaran. These MLAs are currently lodged in a resort in Karnataka and the deputy speaker of state Assembly V Jayaraman speaking to ANI on Thursday had stated that speaker will decide on 18 dissenting MLAs. He believes that the MLAs would return to EPS-OPS faction soon.
On September 15, Dinakaran had attacked the CM of Tamil Nadu saying he just needs seven days to bring the government down.
DMK working president, MK Stalin who also demanded a floor test of Palaniswami government has got nothing to do with Dinakaran’s faction and his party DMK would continue to remain a rival of AIADMK, asserted Dinakaran.
