Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections 2017: BJP will end reservation, impose RSS agenda if it comes to power, says Mayawati

New Delhi: BSP supremo Mayawati on Sunday attacked Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) while addressing a rally in Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh. While speaking at the rally, the BSP chief said,  “If BJP comes to power in Uttar Pradesh they will impose Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) agenda and end reservation.” Mayawati revealed that she has got this information from one of her reliable sources. She also slammed BJP for not projecting a chief ministerial face in the state. Attacking the Samajwadi Party government, the former Uttar Pradesh chief minister said, “SP, chunav ke nateeje aate hi oxygen pe chali jaaegi, or isme kuch kami rahi toh usey unke chacha Shivpal pura kardenge.” (As soon as the election results are out, Samajwadi Party will go on ventilator support and the remaining work will be done by uncle Shivpal)

However, this is not the first time the BSP chief has attacked the BJP and the ruling Samajwadi Party government. Earlier also she has attacked Narendra Modi-led NDA government while addressing a rally in Harsaon village. She had said “The Narendra Modi government has failed to fulfill the promises it made before Lok Sabha elections 2014 but still BJP is painting rosy picture to entice the gullible voters.”Asking people not to vote for BJP, Mayawati had said the party was meting out step-motherly treatment to minority community and trying to abolish ‘Triple Talaq’ system.

Earlier, in the day Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav took a sharp dig at Mayawati, saying that people sleep when she delivers her election speeches. “Aap to has rahe hain, muskura rahe hain, jab wo apna bhashan padti hain to log so jate hain (You are amused at my speech, but when Mayawati speaks, people are so bored that they fall asleep),” he said. Akhilesh Yadav was addressing a rally in Maharajganj that will go to polls on March 4 in the sixth phase of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections. The attack was a part of a continued verbal exchange between the two leaders. Mayawati had also slammed Akhilesh in a recent rally in Deoria.
